The euro dropped to a six-week low against the dollar on Wednesday, hit after quarterly economic reports from France, Germany and the combined eurozone missed expectations. With France now in recession and Germany posting weak growth in the first quarter, the dollar continued to benefit from relatively attractive growth prospects in the US which led to the euro taking a hammering against the greenback witnessing a low of 1.2839 and a high of 1.2942.
