The statement by the Federal Open Market Committee in the US revealed the Fed’s QE program would end in October, the news strengthened the dollar around 1.26% against the majority of major currencies. No changes were made to the benchmark interest rate and further references were made that interest rates would be held at very low levels for a considerable time.
