The euro rose to a three-month high of 1.1445 against a weaker US dollar after poor US retail sales and a further fall in US producer prices disappointed expectations for a rebound in Q2. The euro briefly dipped back below 1.14 after Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis said Greece's debt repayments to the ECB should be pushed back to "the distant future".
