Alaska-based salmon processor Silver Bay Seafoods has entered the troubled California ‘wetfish’ business by purchasing assets from now defunct United Coast Seafoods, sources told Undercurrent News.

United Coast, itself the successor to wetfish catcher and processor Tomich Brothers which exited the business in 2014, ceased operations in October last year.
