Southwind Foods has taken yet another step toward becoming a dominating force in the western US, agreeing to acquire Desert Gold Food Company, in Las Vegas, sources told Undercurrent News.
President Sam Galletti has already turned his Carson, California-based seafood seller into a $400 million company, and now looks to boost sales to the casino capital and a burgeoning population of about 633,000 people with a deal for Desert Gold.
Located between Las Vegas’ downtown and the Las Vegas Strip, Desert Gold is a more than 40-year-old business with a crab and seafood processing facility in-house, according to its website.
