Icelandic salmon farmer Laxar Fiskeldi has appointed Jens Gardar Helgason as its new CEO, the firm announced.

Helgason, who was previously CEO with exporter Fiskimid, and is the current chairman of Fisheries Iceland, will take up the role with Masoval Fiskeoppdrett-backed Laxar on Feb. 1. 

Laxar Fiskeldi is in the midst of its first-ever harvests, from its site in the country's eastern fjords, production manager Gunnar Steinn Gunnarsson told Undercurrent News late in 2018 [...]
