Private equity CapVest Partners has brought in a new chief financial officer (CFO) for Young's Seafood from McCain Foods to replace Tim Busby, who leaves in September, the company confirmed to Undercurrent News.
A spokesperson for Young's confirmed Busby's exit to Undercurrent, with Saeeda Amin coming in as CFO from the UK operation of McCain, the Canada-based potato product giant. Amin's hiring comes after CapVest confirmed Simon Smith will join as CEO of Young's, replacing Bill Showalter, having bought the fish processor from HPS Investment Partners, Bain Capital and Lion Capital, using its pork processsing firm Karro Food Group in July. On July 1, Undercurrent first reported the CapVest deal the day before it was confirmed, having revealed the possibility of it happening a year before.
Amin was UK finance director (FD) for McCain from May 2015, having previously spent just under seven years at 2 Sisters Food Group, where she was FD for Fox's Biscuits. She also has previous experience with Sara Lee and Bakkavor [...]
