Scotland's salmon farming sector saw an average monthly survival rate of 98.6% for 2019, according to figures published by the Scottish Salmon Producers Organisation (SSPO). The average was down slightly on the 2018 figure of 98.83%, "owing to environmental challenges experienced by a number of farms in the third and fourth quarters of the year".
