A tuna processing and trading center opened near Shanghai, China, with the capacity to process 5,000 metric tons of super-frozen tuna annually. The China International Tuna Trading Center at Hengsha Fishing Port, Changxing Island, will primarily process tuna for sushi and sashimi at four ultra-low temperature lines.
The plant -- which is located just 30 minutes from Shanghai city center -- will also process 500-800t of chilled tuna products and has the capacity to store 2,000t of tuna at minus 60 degrees Celsius [...]
