Acquisitive Canadian food group Premium Brands Holdings is being tipped as the frontrunner for Clearwater Seafoods in a bid said to involve First Nations groups, sources told Undercurrent News.
Cooke and the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (OTPP) are said to be the other two players who were in the mix for Nova Scotia, Canada-based Clearwater, North America's largest vertically integrated shellfish harvester, processor and distributor.
