Maine eel grower American Unagi has broken ground of its $10 million land-based aquaculture facility in Waldoboro after the delay caused by the COVID pandemic, reported Mainebiz.
American Unagi has recently begun pouring concrete and laying pipes for its first facility at Waldoboro Business Park. Work on the 27,000-square-foot facility was planned for last year, but the COVID-19 pandemic has pushed back the schedule.
