Norwegian fresh whitefish exports appear to have returned closer to their more typical price levels prior to the global pandemic, with both cod and haddock prices considerably higher than the same weeks of 2021, according to the latest data from the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC).
Average freight-on-board (FOB) prices for Atlantic cod went above NOK 50/kg in week two, and sit at NOK 47.39/kg for week three (Jan. 17-23), the most recent week in NSC's data.
