Exports of fresh cod and haddock out of Norway unseasonably fell in week six of 2022, even as the catching season moves towards its peak, according to the latest data from the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC).
For starters, fresh cod export volumes fell from 1,720 metric tons in week five down to 1,575t, an unusual shift given that the fishing season traditionally peaks in late February and early March. It means fresh cod exports were down marginally by 52t on the same week of last year [...]
