Espersen faces massive pollock price inflation for Russian McDonald's plant

Denmark-based A. Espersen plans to carry on operating its McDonald's-focused plant in Russia but faces dramatic cost inflation for pollock raw material, the company's CEO told Undercurrent News. Although Espersen uses Russian pollock fillets in the plant, these are traded in dollars. The Russian ruble has devalued more than 30% against the US dollar due to the sanctions placed on Vladimir Putin's government after the invasion of Ukraine [...]
