Shanghai's coronavirus controls are snarling up seafood supply chains with more than 300 vessels waiting to dock at the city's port and at least one salmon processor told to close.
The city of 25 million people reported 425 confirmed cases and 8,585 asymptomatic cases on April 3, a daily number not experienced by a Chinese city since the first outbreak in Wuhan in early 2020.
Given the importance of Shanghai's economic position in China and the rest of the world, some strict management measures have been put in place in high-risk areas, rather than a "complete lockdown" of the entire city, according to local authorities [...]
