UK alternative feed maker Deep Branch Biotechnology has signed a memorandum of understanding with Iceland's biggest energy company to scope out building a single-cell protein plant.
Deep Branch, which has built a pilot plant at the Netherlands-based Brightlands Chemelot Campus, said Landsvirkjun will collaborate on a feasibility study for the plant, which uses a continuous fermentation process powered by hydrogen to produce its single-cell protein "Proton" [...]
