US snow crab imports off to lackluster 2024 start after ho-hum 2023 finish

A flurry of some 50,615 metric tons of Canadian snow crab imports were seen during the first eight months of 2023, topping the earlier 12-month record set in 2009, but the finish to the year was much less dramatic
