Ongoing efforts are underway to contain pollution following the sinking of the Julie Anne, a fish farm landing craft operated by Scottish Sea Farms, BBC reported.
The vessel sank near the company's Fiunary salmon farming site on July 4.
The Scottish Environment Protection Agency reported that measures were taken to limit oil spread, and no fish have been harmed. Specialist divers have been assessing the site daily, sealing oil leaks, and removing debris. As a precaution, oil booms have been deployed around the area.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) has conducted three surveillance flights and continues to monitor the situation. A recovery plan, pending MCA approval, aims to extract remaining fuel and raise the 15-meter vessel, which has been in service since 2015.
