Wulf's Fish, a seafood wholesaler in the US city of Boston, Massachusetts, reports that it has hired Bill Weiss to serve as its new head of sales, snapping him up from nearby Island Creek Oysters.
Weiss has been selling fish for over 15 years, according to a press release from Wulf's. After spending his early career days as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley, he "pivoted to his passions: the outdoors and food." He worked as a commercial sword fisherman in South Florida before joining the culinary team 32 East, in Delray Beach, in early 2011, eventually working his way up to Sous Chef.
In 2015, he returned to Boston where he joined the sales team at Island Creek, enjoying a promotion in 2018 to the role of sales director for the company's national wholesale market.
"Bill's deep knowledge of seafood, his infectious enthusiasm, and his solid business background made him the ideal candidate to lead this next phase of growth for Wulf's Fish," said CEO Michael Moniz.
"Joining Wulf's Fish as head of sales starts the next chapter of something that fuels me every day," said Weiss. "That's selling the best products to the coolest chefs around."
