Ross Paasche, a respected figure in the US scallop industry and an executive at Seatrade International, passed away on Wednesday (Aug. 21).
Seatrade, a Lakeville, Massachusetts-based national distributor of scallops and lobster and a finfish processor as well as a division of East Coast Seafood Group, announced his death on Thursday (Aug. 22). Paasche worked at Seatrade for more than 20 years as a buyer and sales representative, the company said.
"We are deeply saddened by the loss of Ross Paasche, a cherished team member for over 20 years, wrote Bob Blais, East Coast Seafood's CEO. "He was a dedicated and exceptional team member and a beloved friend and mentor to many. Ross' unwavering commitment, kindness and humor left an indelible mark on our company and the lives of those who had the privilege to work alongside him. Our hearts go out to his family, and we will forever honor his legacy through the values he embodies. Ross, you will be greatly missed; rest in peace."
