Schooner Landing and Marina, a popular seafood restaurant in the US mid-coast Maine town of Damariscotta, was destroyed by fire early Sunday morning (Sept. 1), the Associated Press reports.
No one was injured and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined, according to the wire service. An investigation is ongoing.
The restaurant was located on the Damariscotta River, in a quaint part of downtown. It included indoor and outdoor seating with live music outside, featuring many local artists.
