Hokkaido chum prices surge as harvest off to slow start with 58% decline

Hokkaido's chum salmon harvest is off to a slow start this season, with catches reaching 432,000 fish through Sept. 10, down 58% y-o-y, while prices have surged 48% to JPY 2,973 per fish
