Minh Phu’s Q4 losses widen to $4m as shrimp farms strain profitability

Vietnamese shrimp firm Minh Phu Seafood reported a loss of over VND 100 billion for Q4 2024, nearly a VND 90bn increase compared to the same period last year

Every year, this six-hectare Minh Phu Seafood farm produces 1,095 kilos of black tiger shrimp using traditional farming methods – although it should be noted that roughly half the farming area consists of mangrove forest.
