A pre-production look at Stavis Seafoods state-of-the-art processing facility
Following the 2015 Seafood Expo North America trade show, Boston-based Stavis Seafoods CEO Richard Stavis took Undercurrent News on a tour of the company’s new state-of-the-art processing facility.
As of the date of the tour on March 18, Stavis was planning on phasing the opening of the plant over the following four to six weeks.
The 22,000-square-foot building, which will be able to process 15 million-20m pounds of seafood per year, will reduce spoilage through refrigeration, immediate icing and an ozonated water system.
