ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- A difficult fiscal situation and the shrinking Alaska budget will have an impact on the state’s ability to promote its seafood in the coming years, the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) said.
Falling oil prices and production levels coupled with an increase in Alaska’s population has meant that the surpluses the state has seen in recent years have evaporated.
