ST. PETERSBURG, Russia -- Russian Fishery Company (RFC), the second-largest pollock quota holder in Russia, confirmed the company's recent investment in four new trawler vessels would take its total investment in new assets over $1.1 billion.
Each of the four trawler vessels awarded from the second round of quota auctions this year will reportedly cost roughly $100 million to build, according to CEO Fedor Kirsanov. Once completed, each will be used to fish for pollock and herring in the Far East basin, he told Undercurrent News [...]
