CHENNAI, India -- French insect protein producer InnovaFeed, which announced a "strategic partnership" with US feed giant Cargill earlier this year, has plans to rapidly scale up its production over the next few years in order to produce its novel aquafeed ingredient at a competitive price.
As reported at the 2019 Global Outlook for Aquaculture Leadership (GOAL) conference last week, InnovaFeed has nearly completed the construction of a 15,000 metric ton capacity factory for insect protein in Nesle, in the north of France.
