Leroy Seafood Group made no mention of a subpoena from the US government over alleged salmon price-fixing on Nov. 15, as the company's share price dived after reporting weak third-quarter earnings and a lower-than-expected volume outlook.
On Thursday night, Mowi, SalMar and Grieg Seafood all confirmed they have received subpoenas from the US Department of Justice (DOJ), which is looking into possible salmon price-fixing. Leroy -- which co-owns Norskott Havbruk in the UK with SalMar -- has not issued a statement confirming a subpoena, however.
Henning Beltrestad and Sjur Malm, the company's CEO and chief financial officer, respectively, did not respond to requests for comment from Undercurrent News in time for publishing [...]
