Norwegian land-based salmon farmer Andfjord Salmon is on track to finalize construction of its first 1,000-metric-ton capacity pool at Kvalnes, Andoya during the second half of 2020.
The Merkur Market-listed company has ramped-up construction of its facilities on Andoya, which will allow expansion of 60,000t maximum allowed biomass (MAB) in the future.
The flow-through farming firm recently decided to delay the stocking of smolt in its first facility, due to COVID-19 and measures brought in to fight it. It also said it would expedite the construction of a salmon farming facility at Kvalnes, as well as the development of phase two in Kvalnes, and phase three in Fiskenes and Breivik [...]
