An EU-funded €8 million program involving 10 countries aims to increase the value of seafood produced with integrated multi-trophic aquaculture (IMTA) by creating "new, sustainable, profitable and resilient value chains". ASTRAL (All Atlantic Ocean Sustainable, Profitable and Resilient Aquaculture) is a Horizon 2020 project recently financed under the EU's Blue Growth program.
