Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM), the seafood development agency of Ireland, was named the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)'s 'Ocean Hero' at the MSC UK's annual award ceremony on Sept. 30, the latter announced.
BIM, which holds three MSC mussel certificates in both Northern Ireland and Ireland, received the award on behalf of the sector after its efforts led to the Northern Irish and Irish rope-grown mussel fisheries obtaining certification from the MSC in 2019 [...]
