The company's Chilean operation will be located in Puerto Varas and headed by Juan Pablo Barrales, who has more than 20 years of experience working in Chile's aquaculture industry. Most recently, Barrales was the sales and administration manager with the Chilean arm of Pentair, a UK-based water purification giant that divested its extensive operations focused on aquaculture in 2019.

"Chile is a major aquaculture producer and having a physical presence there will make it easier for Innovasea to offer up our industry-leading aquaculture solutions to the many fish farms in the country," said Innovasea's CEO, David Kelly.
Chile, which is second only to Norway in salmon farming volumes, has more than 300 farms in operation at any given time, said Innovasea.
