Consumer confidence toward foreign seafood has dropped in China, said the CEO of a big importer.
"Since [the packaging of] imported seafood products were detected positive for coronavirus, consumers have lost their confidence in imported seafood, they chose not to buy these products," Peng Song, CEO of Beiyang Jiamei Seafood Co, a Qingdao-based seafood processor, told Undercurrent News.
