Coho provides some profitable farming to hammered Chilean salmon industryPrices of Chilean coho salmon sold to Japan snapped back in the fourth quarter of 2020, giving the industry some respite from the pain being felt in the Atlantic salmon market. Salmones Austral, which sells coho as a fifth of its tonnage, said average Q4 prices were $4.04 per kilogram, a 46% increase on the rock bottom $2.77/kg average for the previous quarter.
