Importers spent as much as $596.7 million on US tariffs for seafood from China between Sept. 2018, when extra tariffs were first imposed by the previous president Donald Trump administration, and March 2021, based on the latest data shared with Undercurrent News by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
