The European Commission has officially unveiled its latest wave of sanctions against Russia in response to its invasion of Ukraine, and once again Russian whitefish exports are not included among the affected imported goods.
The new sanctions were approved by the EU Council Friday (April 8) and confirmed that additional import bans -- worth an estimated €5.5 billion ($5.98bn) altogether -- will only apply to "high-end seafood products", understood to include caviar, caviar substitutes and multiple forms of crustaceans [...]
