UK's Russian tariffs won't hit Birds Eye fish fingers, Chinese double-frozen filletsWhile direct UK imports of Russian whitefish will be subject to additional 35% tariffs, value-added products using raw materials from the now pariah nation processed in third countries won't be hit.
So, breaded fish produced in the EU based on Russian raw material -- such as Birds Eye branded fish fingers from Nomad Foods produced in Germany -- will continue at 0% duty for UK sale, according to a document from Seafish seeking to clarify the situation. Click here for the full story.
