Norway's frozen cod export volumes show a sharp drop in week 38 (Sept. 19-25), although this does not appear to have produced a knock-on rise in price just yet, according to the latest data from the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC).
The latest average export price (free-on-board, FOB, Norwegian border) for frozen cod (03036301 and 03036303 customs codes, largely headed and gutted, or H&G) dropped from NOK 53.2 per kilogram down to NOK 51.9/kg during the week, likely in response to the higher supply volumes of the previous fortnight (see chart below) [...]
