Cousins Maine Lobster (CML), the largest lobster truck franchise corporation in the US, on Tuesday (May 2) announced that it was expanding with its eighth corporate-owned truck in Utah. The grand opening ceremony is planned for Friday (May 5) at Talisman Brewing, in Ogden, a town just north of Salt Lake City. The new truck has been placed under the leadership of Jake and Erin Mutscheller, the company said.
"We were looking for a strategic western city for our next corporate food truck and Salt Lake City immediately stood out," said Sabin Lomac, one of CML's co-founders, in a press release. "It is one of the top food truck cities in America and we are thrilled to expand to such a strong market. Jake and Erin have assembled an incredible team to take on this new venture."
Lomac plans on attending the ceremony.
Undercurrent News reported in July 2021 how CML was started in April 2012 by real-life cousins Lomac and Jim Tselikis, from Maine, after they came up with the idea during an excited, late-night brainstorming session at an upscale restaurant in Hollywood, California. Both Lomac and Tselikis are the lobster industry's biggest television celebrities with no less than six appearances on ABC's "Shark Tank", a show that involves pitching business ideas to famous investors, and Lomac also makes regular appearances on Food Network shows [...]
