Prime Shrimp, a New Orleans, Louisiana-based seafood importer and processor known for its shrimp-focused products, announced Tuesday (Nov. 5) that it has extended its reach to shoppers in the US by introducing its offerings in more than 200 Whole Foods Market locations.
The company said its shrimp products, which include Signature, Lemon & Cracked Pepper, Garlic Herb Butter, and New Orleans-Style BBQ, are now available in frozen seafood sections of the organic grocer's stores throughout the Northeast, North-Atlantic, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Southwest. Customers can also order them via Whole Foods Market on Amazon.
The expansion is in response to growing consumer interest in convenient seafood options, Prime Shrimp said. The brand offers a vacuum-packed cook-in-pouch format to make meal preparation easier and address typical issues associated with cooking shrimp, such as odor, the need for thawing and messy handling, the company said.
