A number of lobster traps were destroyed in a large fire that nearly took multiple structures in Kennebunkport, a touristy coastal town in the US state of Maine famous for its lobster trap Christmas tree,
The Kennebunkport Fire Department (KFD) said in a Facebook page post that it responded to a reported structure fire at approximately 7:09 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 8) and found multiple vehicles on fire, as well as a "large amount of lobster traps."
"Mutual aid was called due to the heavy amount of fire and exposure to multiple structures," the KFD said [...]
