Pricing for frozen crab species are fully steady to firm, Undercurrent News' found in its benchmark price assessment for week 13 of 2025 (March 24-30).
The red king crab market continues to see strength behind limited inventory and good demand. While buyers have tried to resist some of the elevated price levels, there is a clear appetite and competition.
The current supply is extremely short of buyer needs. The largest delta is for the 9-12 count where available inventory is nearly non-existent. The overall market is firm.
"Ex-vessel pricing" (the price paid to fishermen at the point of landing) has dropped, further expanding the margin for US importers.
