India International Seafood Show 2023

The India International Seafood Show was held from Feb. 15-17, 2023 in Kolkata, India

The Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan exhibition hall played host to the 2023 event, delayed by one year due to COVID

The day before the show began with a press briefing from members of the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) and the Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI).

Salmon Evolution, one of the most modern land-based salmon farms in the world, has had a mostly successful start to its 7,900 metric ton a year facility in Indra Havoy, Norway. The company has harvested several batches of fish, and was readying another with healthy Atlantic salmon weighing over 4 kilograms each during a recent Undercurrent News visit.The company communicated Oct. 2 that is approaching steady state harvest volumes by year end. Salmon Evolution is already planning an expansion at the same site that will double capacity, using a novel hybrid approach that combines recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) technology with some flow through water.
