Malaysia: Exporter GST Group’s processing plant and finfish hatchery-nursery

Here's a behind-the-scenes look at the hatchery and nursery farm and processing operations of Malaysian seafood producer and processor GST Group.

The processing factory, in Simpang Ampat, can handle 2,000 metric tons a year, and the company has plans to boost that capacity to 3,000 tons in 2015 to serve both global and domestic markets.

The nursery farm, also in Malaysia's Penang state, sits on 50 acres and has 45 ponds for growing species including barramundi, red snapper and grouper.
