Visit to Camposol’s shrimp operations in Peru
Undercurrent News visited Camposol's shrimp operations near Tumbes in northern Peru in the week of the Expoalimentaria food show in Lima that took place between Sept. 28-30.
Camposol is undergoing a major expansion to its intensive farming model, which already accounts for more than 60% of the Peruvian company's shrimp exports. The visit also included a tour of the new laboratory and nursery, where larvae production has been expanded to about 2 billion a year from 1.3 billion before.
