The Role:

The key objective of the Marketing Director role is to develop the annual and long-term Marketing strategy for True North Seafood and ensure the delivery of market share growth and business financial objectives.

This position is directly responsible for leading a marketing team that spans North America. The marketing team is responsible for internal corporate branding along with supporting the external sales team to build consumer presence. There must be a strong brand management approach that includes developing meaningful consumer insights and activating against these insights to drive market leadership and growth. Communication both internally and externally is critical in establishing a strong vision and direction for the team to deliver value.

This is a key role within the organizational structure and will report to the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. This position will provide support for Sales as well as Trade Marketing to embed the brand strategy throughout the organization and bring strong collaboration cross functionally.

You will bring a minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing in an aligned industry and a Business Degree with a marketing focus is preferred. You are a visionary, an executor and above all a leader. You understand the sales process and will be willing to participate in customer meetings. The ability to roll up your sleeves, clearly communicate objectives with your team, and lead by example are characteristics that will bring you success in this role.

This role will require significant travel and will be based out of our Saint John, NB corporate office.
