What you will do:
The Procurement Associate develops and executes strategic sourcing and purchasing plans to ensure profitability, optimize manufacturing operations, and consistently meet customer expectations. This position understands and leverages the relevant supply markets and applies data-driven sourcing practices to achieve the best total value.
Key responsibilities for this Brunswick, Georgia-based position include managing the procurement and sourcing process for protein raw materials, packaging, and ingredients, maintaining effective international supply networks, fostering partnerships with key suppliers, and optimizing pricing, quality, and reliability of supply over the long term. The successful incumbent will also effectively manage inventory levels and supplier delivery schedules, administer purchasing contracts, and lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives.

What you will need:

• B.S./B.A. degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field.
• 2-5 years purchasing and procurement experience, protein procurement preferred
• Sound knowledge of strategic sourcing concepts and methods
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Strong analytical skills and financial acumen
• Proficiency in MS Office especially Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
• Exposure to ERP order to cash systems and MRP planning systems is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Willingness to travel internationally as business needs require (minimum 25%)
• Effective communicate and presention skills
