We have an incredible opportunity available for a Sales and Marketing Executive based in Seattle!
Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for revenue generation through the sale of our Alaskan frozen-at-sea fish as well as the creation, development and implementation of an overall strategic marketing direction. Analyzes market information and determines sales, markets, and profitability goals. Develops strategies and plans for achieving the goals. The position will be responsible for marketing and selling fish to value-added processors and distributors. Implements an approved sales and marketing program. We have a well-established customer base but wish to expand into new markets.
Required Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of people
- In-depth understanding of the Alaskan fishing and seafood industry
- Experience working with Brokers and Distributors
- Strategic selling, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivated, self-directed and willing to accept responsibility for results
- Successful track record developing strong business results and relationships with all key audiences
- International travel
- Japanese or Chinese language skills a plus
Principal Responsibilities:
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Identify, create new sales opportunities in order to achieve sales goals
- Responsible for developing and implementing strategies
- Create annual marketing budgets, allocating expenses, discretionary expenses and media expenses as appropriate. Responsible for monthly forecasting and maximizing marketing dollars by analyzing ROI of new sales and marketing programs
- Develop and execute an annual Sales and Marketing plan which strategically utilizes all platform programs, supports the corporate marketing objectives and positively impacts core financial objectives
- Customer visits
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA or BS degree with emphasis in sales, marketing, or business
- 10 years previous experience in sales, strategic marketing, and budgeting
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, selling, and negotiation skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy when interacting with others
- Computer skills combined with the ability to effectively communicate verbally, visually, and in writing are essential to success
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and evenings when needed
- Overnight travel required
- Ability to think strategically
