Seafood’s Top Dealmakers, Q2, 2019:
M&A boom continues as Australis, Iberconsa deals close
The second of Undercurrent News’ quarterly reports on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) is here, detailing the closure of several long-awaited major deals across the world of seafood.
The Undercurrent team identified that 34 deals closed in the second quarter of the year, a 21% increase on the 26 that closed in Q2 2018.
In fact, 34 deals is the highest number recorded in any Q2 period since 2015, when Undercurrent started tracking M&A in the sector, and the fifth-highest figure for any quarter on record.
This particular report contains full company profiles and contact details for industry and private equity consolidators who completed deals in the quarter. In total, 25 industry members, seven private equities, and 10 financial advisory firms involved in deals during the second quarter have made the cut.
