The Vacancy

Can you build, manage and develop relationships with customers?

Are you a driven and dynamic individual who is interested in working in sustainability?

If so, this Commercial Manager role could be the opportunity for you!

The MSC’s commercial program aims to raise awareness and demand for certified sustainable seafood in the US market. This is in partnership with companies at every step of the supply chain from MSC certified fisheries to consumer facing companies like retailers and food service operators.

The Commercial Manager will support and strengthen partner engagement in the MSC’s seafood supply chain on the east coast of the US.

You will be responsible for managing existing partnerships and working with the team to facilitate successful and transformative work with partners in the region.

Whilst this position will work out of our Washington DC office, there are flexible working options available to the successful candidate.

Key attributes for this role include:

· Excellent knowledge of food supply chains and sustainability, with experience in the seafood industry desirable

· Knowledge of third-party certification schemes and label licensing is an advantage

· A customer-focused approach that is results-oriented and built on a foundation of relationship development.

If you are ready for a challenge and this has inspired you, please apply!

We look forward to hearing from you!

We’re an international organisation and our employees all demonstrate a level of cultural awareness, and value the diverse views and approaches relevant to the MSC program.

The MSC is committed to flexible working. We are currently running a trial for hybrid working, and the successful candidate will need to work from the Washington DC office for a minimum of 50% of their working time each month.
